You can visit most pages on our site without giving us any information about yourself. But sometimes we do need information to provide services that you request, and this privacy statement explains data collection and use in those situations. Please read the following policy to understand how your personal information will be treated at this site.
When you buy, rent and install a new product, we may ask you to register your purchase electronically at our Product Registration page. We keep this registration information on file with any information you have already given us on previous visits to our website.
iX Cameras also collects certain information about your computer hardware and software. Some of our security and licensing systems tie software to specific computer hardware. This information may include specific information about the hardware that is installed in your computer (e.g., hard drive size, video memory, processor type, etc.), your IP address, browser type, operating system, domain name, access times, and referring website addresses. If you select one of our licensing options that involves tying software to a specific computer, the iX Cameras license manager will tell you that it is collecting information about your computer architecture in order to generate a unique registration code.
iX Cameras also collects information about which pages our customers visit within ix-cameras.com. This site visitation data is identified only by a unique ID number, and it is never linked with personal information unless a user provides consent.
We will ask you when we need information that personally identifies you:
iX Cameras may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on iX Cameras or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of iX Cameras and its family of websites, or (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of iX Cameras employees, users of iX Cameras products or services, or members of the public.
iX Cameras may send out periodic e-mails informing you of technical service or security issues related to a product or service you requested, or confirming you requested a product or service. Although we consider these mailings an essential part of the service you have chosen, you will be able to unsubscribe to these mailings at any time and cancel the service.
