iX Cameras is looking for a Purchasing Manager to be a member of the Operations team.
The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, and equipment for all global entities (US, UK, China, and India).
IX Cameras develops and manufactures highly sophisticated electronic cameras for science and industry, and sells its products throughout the world.
The Purchasing Manager position is in our corporate office in Woburn, MA, and will report directly to the company CFO. The responsibilities and duties for this position are as follows:
- Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.
- Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
- Process purchase orders and update management on the status of orders.
- Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
- Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Access quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
- Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated and has 5+ years in a purchasing position of a technology/manufacturing firm that values cost efficiency.
Exemplary organizational ability is critical to this position. As such, we are looking for someone that is highly detail oriented and organized, has strong communication skills, both written and verbal, has both critical thinking and negotiation ability along with excellent computer skills.
Candidates must have both MS Office (Word, Excel) and professional ERP/MRP system experience.
